The Edgewater and Andersonville areas are awash in restaurants in every price range. We’ve tried to list those within a short distance of the Malibu.
While some of these restaurants deliver (and we’ve noted them in the listings), you’ll find a much more complete selection of delivery options at http://www.grubhub.com. In August, 2012, they listed 175 restaurants that delivered to the Malibu. Alternately, Seamless (http://www.seamless.com) listed 87 restaurants that deliver here.
If you find an error in these listings, or find a new place that should be listed, please notify the Communications Commission.
Finally, please note that the reviews and comments here reflect the views of an individual reviewer, and not The Malibu Condominium Association.KEY:

Look out, Starbucks: the Metropolis is a real neighborhood java joint with local artists’ work on display and free wi-fi. It takes its coffee (and tea) very seriously.
Relaxed bar atmosphere with a patio. The bleu burger is a contender in Chicago Magazine’s “best burger in town” category. And the price is right.
Burgers and sandwiches; try the Cajun fries.
Good pizza plus a few healthy choices.
Known for its Thai options, it’s a relaxing oasis in the busy Granville Red Line area. Discuss with your server how hot you want to go.
Casual authentic Mexican food in a wheelchair-friendly diner.
Bar; nice mix of people including kids (it advertises that it’s “kid-friendly”), college kids and adults.
Mixed reviews, but the fans are loyal. Located in the Sovereign Apartment Building.
An unbeatable location for outdoor dining in summer. Food is reported to be good, but service is said to be slow.
