The Edgewater and Andersonville areas are awash in restaurants in every price range. We’ve tried to list those within a short distance of the Malibu.
While some of these restaurants deliver (and we’ve noted them in the listings), you’ll find a much more complete selection of delivery options at http://www.grubhub.com. In August, 2012, they listed 175 restaurants that delivered to the Malibu. Alternately, Seamless (http://www.seamless.com) listed 87 restaurants that deliver here.
If you find an error in these listings, or find a new place that should be listed, please notify the Communications Commission.
Finally, please note that the reviews and comments here reflect the views of an individual reviewer, and not The Malibu Condominium Association.KEY:

This North Side Swedish-American classic now has an Edgewater branch. Expect the chain’s usual menu of egg dishes, sandwiches, and stick-to-your-ribs entrees. Also, expect long lines for weekend brunch.
AOK Flatbread Panini Shop
Great paninis, but try the pastries.
The enormous fried chicken wings are the draw here, especially in the mysteriously delicious “dak” sauce. But there’s a small menu of Korean basics, as well. Alas, they no longer deliver.
Located just across from the former Dominick’s, the menu here is a mix of Chinese and Japanese favorities (including sushi), with Pad Thai thrown in for good measure. The lunch specials and bento boxes are very affordable.
Not related to Gino’s East, but “North” offers pizza and pasta plus football drink specials.
1129 W. Thorndale (between Winthrop and Broadway)
One of the best Thai places in town and Zagat agrees! Take out-of-town visitors to Indie or order in if you’re hungry.
The ubiquitous sandwich shop with the fabulous bread.
Concretes, frozen custards, Phoebe’s cupcakes and Celestial Kitchens cookies make this the perfect place to ruin your diet.
Only in Edgewater: Thai standards, Vietnamese pho, and pizza on the same menu. They seem to have dropped their Web site, so Google the restaurant’s name to get the take-out menu.
